City of Lynn Haven

The City of Lynn Haven is more than just a city; it is a small, charming waterfront community quickly becoming the destination of choice for families in Bay County. With a population of just over 20,000, the city upholds its family- and business-friendly identity, and it has a lively downtown area that preserves and values its local heritage.

The city boasts some of the most vibrant aspects of community-oriented entertainment, which is always family-oriented and free to everyone. These local events encourage social interaction and provide Lynn Haven residents and individuals from surrounding areas the opportunity to unite and celebrate their shared interests and values. A connected community is a thriving community, and one that starts with safe neighborhoods, servicing the public’s wants, and offering plenty of events for people of all ages.

The municipality also has many attractive parks for its citizens to enjoy. Whether walking the nature trails at the Bayou Park and Preserve or soaking in the sun at Leslie Porter Park, there is something for everyone to experience. Lynn Haven has made several enhancements to its parks, such as adding sunshades over its playgrounds, new equipment, and replacing old and outdated facilities.

The city’s revitalization efforts also include newly redesigned city facilities that opened in 2023 – a new city hall, police department, and a sports complex and gymnasium. In addition, construction is underway on several community structures and encompass the preservation of a portion of the old city hall, renovation of the animal shelter, construction of a new Facilities and Maintenance Department building, opening of James E. Rogers Park, and building of an additional parking area for Cain Griffin Park.

Some facilities have already received a makeover, such as the Public Works building, Fire Station #1, Cain Griffin Park ballfields, Leon Miller Splash Pad, Garden Club, Senior Activity Club, A.L. Kinsaul Bark Park, and Leslie Porter Park through the RESTORE Grant.

Lynn Haven is an attractive community that draws new residents year after year. Local satisfaction is high, and visitors leave with positive impressions of this quaint coastal town.
